New Online Bike Insurer To offer Low Premiums

Online insurance company eBike Insurance is entering the Irish Market and will offer Irish bikers its convenient online service for bike insurance premiums.  As they only operate via the internet, eBike Insurance promises to considerably reduce the cost that bikers currently spend on insurance.

Chris Gillighan, the company's business development manager claims:
"Policyholders can manage their entire policy online without having to queue up even get on the phone to a call centre. Multiple bike owners or classic bike collectors can also put up to four of their bikes on the one policy at discounted rates. To accommodate adventurous journeying bikers, free European riding cover is offered with 365 days included as standard. Discounts will also be given to riders who undertake rider training."

However the company only offer premiums to bikers holding a full licence.  This may encourage the up to 80 per cent of motorcyclists under 25 years of age who only hold a provisional licence to book their driving test to avail of the lower premiums.  Our Advice to provisional bikers is to book a driving test now to get ahead of the queues.

The Irish version of the website (www.e-bikeinsurance.ie) is currently inviting users to enter their contact details and claims each person will be contacted when the service officially launches in Ireland - this is expected to be late summer.
